Progress... I think!
Here are the latest pictures. In no particular order.
Here is the bottom boards being glued together. 4 boards at a 1/4 inch thick, it was a little tricky to get them flat and lined up!

Wooden board 101
First photos from the workshop. The rails are starting to take shape. 8 layers of 1/4 inch poplar are layed up on a mold defining the outside curve of the rails.



The rocker is cut into the rails on the band saw. Rad.
